The Hungarian Info event was hold on 19th September 2014. jointly to the similar, V-Educa project's conference in Pécs at Szentágothai Research Centre. The event was organized in the frame of the European Cooperation Day.

After the welcome speech of Mr Zoltán Kovács, the director of development department of the South Transdanubain Regional Development Agency the audience heard about the energetic co-operations in the Croatian-Hungarian border area: V-Educa and EE Pannonia projects. Then Dr. Tibor Kiss, senior research fellow of University of Pécs, presented the Smart Cities initiative. Finally Mr. Prof. Dr. István KISTELEGDI spoke about the planning and construction of superefficient buildings with EnergiaDesign® methodology. We have the possibility to see the demo-van of Osijek which shows several renewable energy solutions.
The event was followed by a project meeting at the office of the South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency. The focus of the meeting was on the project fishes, which should contain the results and evaluation of the energy analysis of the chosen municipality's buildings in order to ser
ve as base for future applications for EE Programmes funded by the Cohesion and Structural Funds. Partners started to discuss the content of the joint Cross Border Energy Efficiency Action Plan also.
The project EE Pannonia – „Elaboration of joint energy efficiency action plan for the border region by municipalities, involving the local communities” is implemented in the framework of the Hungary – Croatia IPA Cross-Border Co-operation Programme 2007-2013. The international cooperation started on 1st of December, 2013 with the partnership of the Lead Beneficiary South Transdanubian Innovation Agency Nonprofit Ltd, the City of Osijek and the Regional Energy Agency North.
The opening conference of the project was organized on 23rd of January, 2014 in Pécs (Hungary) at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences' Regional Committee of Pécs with the participation of the project partners, stakeholders and the media. The event was opened by Dr. Zsolt Páva, Mayor of Pécs followed by the welcome speeches of Ružica Ivanković, Consul of the Republic of Croatia in Pécs and of Tamás Kocsis, managing director of the South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency.
